Why install google analytics?

Google analytics is a free application that allows you to explore visitor statistics (who, when, where, how often, how long, etc.) and different ways to display them (numbers, percentages, averages, compared with, etc.).

Using the GA (acronym for Google Analytics) data you can pinpoint the geographical location of the visitors with the worst conversion rate. You may then investigate to discover and eliminate problems that obstruct those visitors to order your products. The obstructions may prove to be linguistic or it may be that technical development in certain areas have not reached the level that is required for intended functionality of your web applications.

Another practical use may be to compare various marketing efforts. You may discover that an expensive adwords campaign delivers less (converting) visitors than the free link that you posted through your link building efforts.
